About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Romantic
We are thrilled to announce the long-anticipated reopening of our restaurant! Step into the newly reimagined Landmark Tavern at The Ryland Inn, where the charm of a classic tavern meets the sophistication of modern dining. At the heart of our kitchen is Executive Chef Daniel Brunina, whose passion for local, fresh ingredients shines through in every dish.

While the Tavern menu takes center stage, our culinary creativity extends far beyond. From cult wines and rare spirits to classic cocktails, the details are crafted to create an unforgettable dining experience. Set against a backdrop of unpretentious charm, with equestrian décor that reflects our rich history and playful spirit, The Ryland Inn is more than just a place to eat—it's again a destination for those who seek the joys of exceptional food, great company, and an atmosphere that feels like home.

Welcome back to the Ryland, welcome home.

The service was excellent! Service ware was placed in advance of courses, water glasses were never empty, and empty plates or unneeded items were taken away quickly. The food was mediocre to terrible. The most egregious offense was the soupy soufflé. Kid you not, once the crust was cracked, the interior was uncooked. The “chef” had the gall to force the food runner to tell us “that’s how they serve it”, instead of admitting it was *RAW EGGS* and trying to correct the error! The term “soufflé” has a very specific criteria with specific guest expectations. If you do not intend to meet them, do not call it a soufflé. In an effort to appease us, they offered anything else we would like, so we chose the cherry cobbler. It was cold!!! Who serves cold cobbler, let alone when trying to correct and error?! The ice cream did not melt at all it was so cold! All of this after eating oysters Rockefeller that were overwhelmed by gloopy, gluey spinach; a kale salad that was dressed without an acid or salt; and a factory-perfect smoked short rib that was served with half the binding string. The food execution was truly pitiful, and almost up to the standards for any of the neighboring restaurants (which is the farthest from a compliment I can get without getting nasty). 2/10 over (service is the saving grace)

Sat at the bar and service was awful. Food was hit and miss. Had a selection of bites, small plates, entree and dessert. The dessert was a cobbler which would have been great because of the cherries but it was cold.

Brunch was calm and well done for the most part. Choices were very limited, with not much variety. The food that was served was delicious, but not much selection - if you do not like the specifics they chose for the day, you are mostly out of luck, with minimal "backup". Do not go right at opening - the food was not completely ready until about 11:30. The live piano was nice, but very loud.

Food was amazing. You must try the black pepper calamari. Everything was beautifully plated and the service was stellar. I had left overs to take home so they checked it for me so I didn’t have to keep it at the table. Looking forward to going back to experience their outdoor patio dining.
